Passing time around home

The kids really wanted to take a break from hiking the trail today and wanted to ride their bikes up at the playground so we pretty much took it easy the whole day around the house with the neighbors. I even got some skating in which was nice. I plan to head up tomorrow to do the next leg of the A.T and the weather is supposed to be nice.

I actually took that photo up at Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina. To me, that whole area near Linville and surrounding is every bit as nice in the warmer seasons as it is in the winter. I spend time up there all year around snowboarding etc in the winter and hiking/camping all year.
