Snowboarding Utah Powder!
Jan 22nd, 2009 by Admin 1
Ah yes, just got a confirmation for a flight out to Utah for a 5 day trip to do some riding at Snowbasin, one of my favorite spots and possibly the Bird and Canyons! Seems like everyone is getting decent snow this year nationwide. It looks like the West Virginia resorts have a good base for the east. Most of the season I get the occasional weekend trip up to Beech, Sugar, or (Snowshoe - Discount lift tickets to Snowshoe in West Virginia
) but thankfully I get to fly out West once a year to get some real powder. I used to live out in Utah and work at Snowbird so you can imagine how much I miss the daily shots down Baldy and what not.

I grew up skiing in New York at places like Gore, Whiteface, Greek Peak, Bristol, Stratton etc.. and when I was 12 picked up snowboarding and have been snowboarding for the most part ever since. It has to be the funnest sport there is especially in 4 ft of powder. There is just something about getting those face shots on the first run of the day that you can’t get doing anything else.

Maybe one day we will get back out there! Or at least find a way to spend months at a time out there. House swap anyone? FYI-has to be during winter months
