Coosawattee River Resort-Ellijay, Georgia

We ditched the tent this weekend for fancier digs and spent some time with family at Riverstone Lodge in Coosawattee River Resort. The lodge is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath riverfront log cabin that sleeps up to 20 people. It is spacious and nicely adorned with cabin themed decor and has plenty of seating and lots of beds. Each bedroom has a covered porch overlooking the river. It also has a hot tub, basketball court, shuffleboard court, horseshoes, and volleyball court. It was pretty cold outside, but the kids had a ball anyway. My brother in law threw on his waders and did some fly fishing, too. A beautiful spot for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, wading or fishing. The resort itself is loaded with ammenities such as 2 pools, playgrounds, library, rec center, conference center, fitness center, 18 hole miniature golf course, campsites, picnic areas, dog park, and more. It’s a nice place to enjoy the great outdoors and a little luxury at the same time.
