Found another one of the great events in North Georgia that may be up your alley for this Saturday. If your into it, you could rent a Canoe, Kayak and float down the Etowah River in Rome, Georgia! The launch point is Dixon Landing – Just off the By-Pass and take-out is at Heritage Park . Get there for registration info at 10:00am then launch at 10:30am - 11:00am. Dress appropriately as it is gonna be a bit chilly! Catch the shuttle bus back up to D-D-D-Dixon Landing for $5. It is of course free to float it on your own.
