How to - Minimalist Car Camping - If thats not an Oxy Moron

A quick checklist we like to use before heading out for whatever spot we have decided to camp, at any given moment. We have really reduced the extras down to practically nothing over the years so this may not work for you but I have found that we can go without quite a bit and still have a great time. Plus our little car can only hold so much.
Sleeping
- Tent/Footprint or ground tarp
- Sleeping Pads
- Camp Chairs
- Bedding
Tools
- Mallet
- Lighter
Light Sources
Firewood/Kindling
- Envirolog and/or dead wood found on the ground in the area
Cooking
- French Press
- Stove
- Food
- Paper Towels and/or small plates
- Mugs for coffee
- Kettle
- Utensils
- Wipes
You can also bring pillows for sleeping and maybe an extra tarp to throw up to hang out under for those rainy trips which are some of the most enjoyable if you do things right. The list works for us but may not be 100% perfect so if you have any comments on additions needed or things you take out let me know!
That means you too Jen if you feel the need to respond!
