OK, so we didn’t stay here, but since we were in the area, we decided to check it out last Saturday after hiking at Providence Canyon State Park.
When you enter the park you drive through a large parking lot where the boat launch is located, pass by a 66 slip marina on your left, the cottages and interpretive center on your right, and then you enter the camping area. The sites are close together and lack privacy. They also have full hookups and cable so the gauges and electrical boxes detract from any natural beauty that may have been. Aside from that, the campsites are well maintained, as are the grounds except for the dilapidated tennis court that is not usable at present. None of the sites we saw were on the water front, but there are some nice views of the lake at the clubhouse.
There were a few RVs, but no tent campers. Even so, the parking lot at the launch was crowded so I can only imagine what it looks like in the warmer months. Not really our scene, a little too unnatural but is convenient for those who need a boat slip.
