I grew up in Upstate New York in a little town called Washingtonville. I moved south when I was young and then back up to the Finger Lakes. I lived out West in a couple different places before moving to the Southeast where I got married and had kids.
I have jumped out of planes, Hang Glided, Surfed, Skateboarded, Skied, ,Backpacked, Snowboarded, Climbed, Wake Boarded, Camped, Hiked, Swam, Cliff Dived, Kayaked, Canoed, Fished, Deep Sea Fished, Played Golf, Played Disc Golf,Rafted, Biked, Rode 4 Wheelers and drove old beaten up cars……in some great places all around the country and now that we have a family we are trying to do as much of this stuff as possible. We have now been exploring recreation spots for years and I started this blog to provide a source for useful information on outdoor activities in the Southeast and the gear needed to enjoy it.
I will be including posts on campsites, ski resorts, trails, hikes and other recreation spots, I will also be providing reviews and looking for coupons/deals on outdoor gear. I will have comments and stories from the places we’ve been(which I am backlogged on) and places we still hope to go.
